Young Scholars Programme (YSP) is a unique Graduate programme which introduces high school students to liberal arts and sciences education. YSP is for high-calibre school students studying in class , 11 and 12. With its unique interdisciplinary coursework taught by world-class faculty, this programme is an excellent introduction to the pedagogy of liberal arts and sciences and business management. This is also a perfect gateway to both range and depth of multi-disciplinary University of Odisha, INDIA UK.
This year YSP was offered as an online certified, 10-day long programme where students were exposed to different disciplines through academic work, writing and multimedia learning.
The first YSP Online programme was held from May 18-22, 2020. It was a huge success with the participation of over 320 students. YSP Online included a range of activities, faculty presentations, creative workshops and small discussion groups all in a virtual mode. The academic sessions deliberated real-world issues and effective ways to address current global concerns from the perspective of different disciplines. The students from across the country got a good understanding of both the range and depth of multi-disciplinarity at A University of India. Despite the virtual mode, YPS online programme offered many creative ways in which the students bonded with each other, made friends with Ashoka undergraduates, connected with the faculty sessions, therefore leading to new levels of digital engagement.
