I had the privilege of being invited by the Tax Research Department of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India to moderate a session during the GST Day Celebration Week 2024.

On July 12th, at the SCOPE Complex in New Delhi, we marked the seventh anniversary of GST with the theme "Driving India’s Economic Renaissance". I facilitated the session on “Navigating the GST Legal Landscape - Adjudication, Appeal, and Judicial Trends", where we explored various facets of compliance, litigation, future projections, and essential elements of GST law.

It was a remarkable opportunity to engage with distinguished professionals and discuss the significant impact of GST on India's economic development.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for their contributions to making this event a success!

I had the honor of engaging with Company Secretaries from the Jaipur Chapter of ICSI on the pertinent subject of "Sustainable Business Strategy & ESG Reporting."

Commencing with an exploration of the historical evolution of ESG, I delved into detailed strategies and emerging standards, particularly emphasizing the reporting aspect.

Fuelled by enthusiasm, we collectively examined the vast potential scope for Company Secretaries in this domain.

Members from the practicing field and industry were present, enriching our discussions with diverse perspectives and insights.

Company Secretaries bear a significant responsibility in remaining updated on evolving sustainability standards, regulations, and reporting requisites.

They meticulously oversee the preparation and dissemination of ESG reports, encompassing annual sustainability reports, integrated reports, and mandated filings. Their meticulous attention ensures the accuracy, transparency, and alignment of these reports with established standards and guidelines.

In essence, Company Secretaries serve as indispensable drivers of sustainability and ESG reporting within organizations. Their multifaceted role extends beyond mere compliance to encompass fostering effective communication, reinforcing governance structures, and championing transparency and accountability in corporate practices.

I am thankful to the Jaipur chapter of ICSI for affording me this invaluable opportunity to engage with such esteemed professionals.

Had the honor of participating in an exceptional training program on “Cost & Management Accounting” organized by AJNIFM, Ministry of Finance, through the DGR training scheme initiated by the Ministry of Defence for Armed Forces Personnel.
Spending 30 hours with high-ranking officials of the Army, Navy, and Air Force was an invaluable experience.

Thrilled to have had the opportunity to deliver on the topic and share this with you.

I am gracious for very interactive session held yesterday at CMA Bhawan, Lodhi Road, Delhi. The program was organised by NIRC of ICMAI, wherein I was given the opportunity to interact with the Finance & Cost experts from the Industry on the topic “Cost Records - Elements of Raw Material Consumption”

Participation of senior members and the brainstorming discussion made the session thoroughly interactive and it just worked like some topping on the cake. Looking forward to more such insightful programs.

Day 3 of the AJNIFM (M*F, Govt. of India) Cost & Management Accounts Training Program for the 2022 batch Officers of the Indian Audit & Account Services was a success!

Today's session focused on Overhead Accounting, including Centrals & Peripherals of Overhead Costing, its impact on Inventory Valuation, and presentation in Cost Statements. Practical aspects were demonstrated with the help of work records.

Also, I was honored to learn that I was amongst the highest rated faculty members of the last batch.

Feeling grateful for the opportunity to engage with brilliant minds on Day 2 of the theme program.

Today's topic, “Labor Costing & Control”, sparked an insightful discussion on ways to manage labor costs.
The workshop also provided a detailed analysis of how various elements of labor costs are addressed while preparing cost statements.

The interactive session facilitated the exchange of valuable information and knowledge. Thank you to all involved for making this a valuable experience.
