*Sometimes, how I wish I was “WRONG”…!*
Many of you know of my “CAUTIOUS” stance in the Indian stock markets past many months given the sharp run up in 2024. *New investors were advised NOT TO ADD FRESH Lumpsum* amts, but to STAGGER them; given “deterorating geo-politics”. Many new clients agreed to stick to our recos of *creating a Balanced portfolio using equity PLUS tax free instruments giving immediate income* but several got tempted by quick returns and thought I was “old-school”, thus preferred Cowboy bankers vs our advice. *We lost a few new mandates…!*
THAT is the tough part being a Financial Advisor. We have to sometimes deviate from “client is ALWAYS RIGHT” tagline-and argue to get our conservative point of view across- FOR THEIR OWN GOOD. Even if it means risking the client walking away!
