With growing focus on tax compliance during the filing season, clarity on ITR requirements for super senior citizens remains crucial.

In , CA Mrinal Mehta, Joint Secretary, Bombay Chartered Accountants' Society ( ), highlighted that while super senior citizens are exempt from mandatory e-filing, they are not exempt from filing income tax returns altogether.

Depending on income levels and applicable conditions, filing may still be required, with the option to submit returns in physical form. The article also discusses the role of Section 194P in providing conditional relief for eligible senior citizens.
