This is to inform that filing of Income tax return is mandatory if the total income exceeds Rs.2.50 Lakh in AY-2019-20.

You may also note that relief u/s 87A is available for those whose total income is up to Rs.3.5 Lakhs for AY-2019-20 and the income tax return has to be filed to claim this relief.
The last date before which the return will have be filed is 31st August, 2019.
