Yet another successful Investor Awareness Program done for approximately 150 team members of Upsurge & Dhan at the HQ of Dhan.co. The session (or the Townhall in startups lingo) went on for almost 2 hrs non-stop as I was really nervous if I could be able to hold the attention of all young folks out there (22-30 years) for such long. But the applause that I recd at the end of session made all the efforts worthwhile.

I must compliment the wonderful and lively office they have. Its truly a dream come true kind of experience to deliver this kind of open talk.

A big thanks to Kunal Shah, Karan Purohit, Shraddha Joshi and Team Upsurge.club / Dhan for making this happen at such short notice.

I hope we could manage to of understanding personal finance with this talk.

Thank you Kushal Lodha for having me at your podcast "Konversation with Kushal". It was a super 2 hrs spent with you and sharing my story with your viewers. I hope they too get inspired seeing this 33 minute movie titled One Idiot on Youtube that changed my life forever.

Reaching Rs 100 crs or to buy a Rolls-Royce before turning 50 is just a challenge I have taken to become One Idiot but my larger message is that not everyone needs Rs 100 crs to become happy rather the objective should be to reach all your financial goals thereby achieving financial freedom by the time you turn 50 - 55 years. The only mantra that will help you in your journey will be your Vision, Discipline & Patience.

If you don’t need money for college, a home or retirement, then save for self-confidence. The state of your savings does have a lot to do with how tall you walk.

Finally, we all need to spend this money judiciously in our lifetime and not just see the corpus growing only on paper as I would like You to Live Rich, not Die Rich.

14 years back, little did we realise that the compounding efforts of our hard work of spreading financial literacy in our native town Jorhat, Assam will invite attention of the global readers of The Economist magazine. We are really very excited to share that the March 16, 2024 edition of The Economist has carried out an article titled “Crazy Rich Indians” wherein there has been a mention of record inflows in capital markets coming from Jorhat, literally a Tier-4 city.

We did our first mega Investor Awareness Program in 2011 wherein 500+ investors participated in a 4 hr session and Mutual Funds that time were literally unheard of. Over the past 14 years, we would have conducted more than 50 such sessions reaching out to more than 10,000 participants and in the process introducing 1,250+ investors to the world of Mutual funds with overall assets exceeding Rs 162 crores today from that region. Today, maximum households in Jorhat has SIPs running for their various goals for which we are really proud of. The best part is after seeing results of 10 years of their own journey, many of our investors have become the brand ambassador for this wonderful vehicle (Mutual funds Sahi Hai) and are now encouraging their relatives & friends to take the first step towards achieving their financial goals.

We still believe we have a long way to go but sometimes mentions like these brings a big cheer on our face and inspire to us strive even harder.

It was a complete packed Saturday evening with a whopping 250+ investors participating in an engaging session with Mr Nilesh Shah and Mr Bhavesh Bhatia. Mr Shah shared his insights on decoding Amrit Kaal of the Indian economy and resulting wealth creation opportunities in the coming decade while Mr Bhavesh Bhatia of Sunrise Candles shared his incredible & powerful story of determination & grits inspite of physical limitations.

We sincerely thank our investors, Mr Nilesh Shah, Mr Bhavesh Bhatia, Team Kotak MF & Team Etica Wealth for making this event a grand success.
