2️⃣ Keep all documents ready before opening the portal
3️⃣ Compare both regimes — old vs new — before choosing
4️⃣ No fake HRA or bogus 80G claims — notices are being issued
5️⃣ Update your mobile number and email on the portal
6️⃣ Cross-check your 26AS and AIS line by line
