Reliable railway operations begin with reliable traction motor validation. Every traction motor must perform consistently before it is returned to service. That is why accurate, controlled testing plays an essential role in supporting dependable railway maintenance.

Crest Test Systems has successfully commissioned a Light Load Run Test Facility at Malda Diesel Loco Shed, Northeast Frontier Railway, designed to test 6 FRA 6068 traction motors used in WAG9HC and WAP7 three-phase electric locomotives. The facility enables controlled light load run testing with programmable VVVF drives, monitors critical electrical parameters and motor temperature, and delivers reliable, repeatable performance validation to support efficient maintenance operations.
