Three Decades, Many Projects… and One Common Question:
“Are We Eligible for Subsidy?”
> For more than 30 years as a Chartered Accountant, I have worked closely with businesses seeking subsidies, incentives and funding support.
> One thing I have repeatedly observed is this: many entrepreneurs invest heavily in land, machinery, technology and employment—but remain unaware of the benefits available under government incentive schemes.
> The Maharashtra Industrial and Investment Policy 2025 (MIISP 2025) offers important opportunities not only to eligible manufacturing units, but also to specified service-sector businesses.
> And here is the interesting part—units located in MMRDA and PMRDA areas should not simply assume that “subsidy is only for backward regions.” Eligible projects in these regions may also qualify for benefits, subject to prescribed conditions.
> To simplify these provisions—and hopefully remove some of the mystery surrounding subsidies—we are starting a Knowledge Series.
> Through this series, we will share practical insights on MIISP 2025, other subsidy schemes, funding opportunities and issues relevant to MSMEs as well as large businesses.
📘 Because sometimes, the benefit is available—the business just needs to know where to look.
