SAHARA REFUND

The Union Home Minister launched the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)-Sahara Refund Portal on July 18, 2023. The first payment of up to Rs 10,000 would be made through this portal to 1 crore investors who have deposited Rs 10,000 or more.

What are the documents have to be attached to submit Claim
The Depositor should attach following documents:
a. Deposit certificate/ Passbook
b. Claim Request Form
c. PAN Card (if claim amount is Rs. 50,000/- and above)
Aadhaar seeded Bank account, membership number, Aadhaar linked Mobile number is mandatory.

Note that the depositor must fill out a single claim form with all the claim information, one by one, for each deposit across all Sahara societies where the depositor has unpaid dues.

How to register for Sahara Refund Portal

Step 1: Kindly visit CRCS Refund Portal website- https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in
Step 2: Click om Depositor Registration, to register, you need to enter 12 digit Membership Number, last 4 digit Aadhaar Number, 10 digit Aadhaar linked Mobile Number, captcha and press on “Get OTP”
Step 3: Enter the OTP received on Aadhaar linked Mobile Number and complete the Registration process.
