This week we were delighted to support the Guille-Allès Public Library, Guernsey’s annual Carnegie Literary Lunch, which celebrates the UK's oldest and most prestigious children's book awards.

It was fantastic to hear about the thoughtful discussions and lively debates as students from primary and secondary schools explored the writing and illustration shortlists before casting their final votes, the winners being Wolf Siren for the writing award and Wiggly Words for the illustration award.

We're proud to support initiatives that inspire a love of reading and encourage young people to share their ideas.

Do you need help submitting your Jersey online personal tax returns ahead of the filing deadline on 31 July?

At Moore Stephens, our tax team can manage the online filing process on your behalf, helping to reduce the administrative burden and giving you confidence that your return has been completed correctly.

Failing to complete this return on time can result in a £300 initial fine, with an additional £50 per month every month your return is still outstanding. Failure to pay by 30 November could result in a 10% surcharge on the amount owed.

Moore Stephens Channel Islands is proud to support Ballet d’Jèrri’s upcoming performances of Black Dog Noir and Whiteout, running from 12–14 June at the Jersey Opera House.

Inspired by the infamous spectral hound said to stalk the island’s north shores, Black Dog Noir is part shadowed fairytale, part surreal psychological thriller, drawing on folklore, island legends and the wild landscapes of the psyche.

It will be presented as a double-bill alongside Marco Goecke’s ‘Whiteout’, a comical, melancholic, uncomfortable, and joyful piece set to the music of Bob Dylan.

Tickets are limited and there is an optional dress code of black and white. Make sure you book your seats before it’s too late using the link below:
