Continued: The bottom line is that the so called mini budget announced on Friday last week is consistent with Long term Tory policy. Currently if you listen to the discussions in the UK concerning that mini budget, there are racial undertones of recklessness because the chancellor is black. The attacks are led by Sunik, the former chancellor and who lost to the current prime minister. A question of sour grapes. He oversaw that 22% rapid decline in exchange rate in one year .

On UK min budget: I don't think the devaluation is as drastic as you appear to indicate. Devaluing from 1.7 in 2014 to 1.1 in 2022 is an annual average devaluation rate of about 4% which is about the same as the annual inflation rate. Cheaper currency makes imports more expensive hence incentive for companies to shift their factories to UK, starting with British companies already manufacturing from abroad
