KEPSA Foundation, in partnership with Chandaria Foundation, on Friday, supported the establishment of a fruit orchard and conducted a community outreach programme for vulnerable children at St. Anna Care Centre in Murangโa County. The initiative forms part of the Foundationโs ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, food security, improved nutrition, and the well-being of vulnerable children through impactful community interventions.
As part of the initiative, over 100 fruit trees were planted, benefiting more than 400 children and members of the school community. Once mature, the orchard will supplement the school feeding programme, enhance dietary diversity, improve nutrition outcomes for learners, and strengthen the institutionโs resilience to food insecurity. In addition, the Foundation donated essential food supplies for pupil consumption and provided footwear to 30 vulnerable learners.
