With the rise and bloom of AI, it has definitely helped financial planners become more efficient and effective in our work. However, AI is not here to replace us.

At the end of the day, our duty and responsibility as financial planners is to truly understand our clients and communicate with them personally. Financial planning and investing are not driven purely by numbers — they are heavily influenced by emotions, goals, fears, and life situations. That human connection can never be fully replaced by technology.

People often say that a financial plan cannot always keep up with reality and the constant changes in life. While I do not completely disagree with that statement, I believe a financial plan is still the blueprint and fundamental foundation of one’s financial journey.

From there, it becomes the responsibility of a financial planner to continuously adapt, guide, and bridge the gap between the plan and reality.

AI may enhance our tools, but human understanding will always remain at the heart of financial planning.

This month has been full of financial planning roadshows and events! 🎉

Last week, I had the opportunity to join MFPC’s booth event at Securities Commission Malaysia, Bukit Kiara, where we shared with university students what financial planning is really about. It was a great initiative by MFPC to raise awareness and expose young people to this meaningful and growing industry.

Throughout the event, many experienced practitioners were invited on stage to share their insights and answer questions from the public — because truth is, many still don’t fully understand what the financial planning profession actually does. 💬

As we celebrate World Financial Planning Month, I truly hope more Malaysians will take the time to understand the importance of financial planning — not just for managing money, but for building confidence, clarity, and peace of mind. 💡

Let’s embrace financial planning with an open heart, and not keep our money worries hidden away. 🌱

Thank you Financial Planning Association of Malaysia for inviting us to conduct 1-to-1 financial planning consultations for the students at Heriot-Watt University as part of World Financial Planning Month. 🌟

It was truly our pleasure to share our expertise with these bright young minds — many are already dreaming big, planning ahead, and some even aspire to give back to the community through their future careers and businesses.

Financial planning isn’t just about numbers or investments — it’s about building clarity, managing emotions and expectations, and finding balance between your goals, gains, and life’s uncertainties. 💡

We hope this experience inspires more students to start their financial journey early — to save with purpose, protect what matters, and grow their wealth wisely. 🌱
