🙅🏿‍♀️您的医药卡不保什么？
一般上当我们购买医药卡时，许多客户都只了解受保事项有什么，而忽略了【不受保事项】。大部分客户认为只要进院医药卡就一定有得赔了，可是事实是这样吗？那可不一定。在购买医药卡之前，您必须了解医药卡不受保事项，以避免将来不必要的麻烦和纠纷。
医药卡不受保事项大致上分为4️⃣种:
➡️ 原先存在疾病： 在签购医药卡之前就已经患有的病症，一律不受保。
➡️ 特定疾病：在保单生效的首120天内所发生的某些指定疾病，譬如高血压、糖尿病、心脏疾病、耳鼻喉疾病(详情请参考您的保单细节)无论投保人知道以否，都不受保。
➡️ 首30天等待期：在您保单生效的首30天出现或诊断出的任何疾病都不受保。除了意外所导致的医疗费用。
➡️ 其它不受保事项：包括整形、私人护理、生育、自杀、参与战争/示威、心理/神经、高危运动、变性等所导致的医疗费用均不受保。详情请参考您的保单细节。

🙅🏻‍♂️ WHAT ARE THE COMMON EXCLUSION CLAUSE IN MEDICAL CARDS?
Whenever we decide to purchase a medical card, a common mistake most of us will make is that we only look at what are the benefits it provides and neglected what are the circumstances that we can’t enjoy such benefits (exclusions). Many of us will think that as long as we got medical cards, insurance company will definitely have to pay our medical bills. But is it really so? Therefore, before we make any decision on buying any medical coverage, we have to also know what are the exclusions in order to avoid future misunderstandings.
Medical cards exclusion commonly are as follow:
➡️ Pre-existing illnesses: no coverage will be given to exiting illnesses prior to signing up for this medical card.
➡️ Specific illnesses: specific illnesses like high blood pressure, dietetic, heart disease, etc. (for details pls refer back to policy contracts) occurring during first 120 days will not be covered.
➡️ 30 days Waiting period: Any claims within 30 days from the date the policy was inforced are not covered, except for accidental cause.
➡️ Others non-claimables: plastic/cosmetic surgery, private nursing, child birth, suicide/self-inflicted injuries, war/riots participating, psychotic, mental or nervous disorders, hazardous sports, s*x changes, etc. for more details pls refer back to detail policy contracts.

⚠️ 100k, 1 million or more ? The number of protection to go against unexpected event ?
Life Insurance protection is a form of risk transfer. How much of protection, very much depends on how much of risk you have or will have.
Eg. You have 1 million dollar personal loan and 1 million dollar property loan, in total you will have 2 million dollar of debts, therefore you will need to have a min. of 2 mil dollar life protection to cover these debts in case of unexpected event that might happen to you.
Life protection can also work as income replacement. Assuming a breadwinner is bringing home 200k every year and one day something bad happened to this breadwinner and he left the world, leaving behind his beloved family.. So, if he followed the rule of thumb and took up a sum cover of 5x of his yearly income, total up 1 million dollar, his family will have at least 5 years time to adapt to this situation without any financial worries.
So we guess by now you should know how much life coverage you need? Do not leave behind debts but love.
⚠️ 1百千？1百万？还是更多？要多少数目的保障才能抵挡突如其来的风险呢？
人寿保险是一种转移风险的形式。要多大的保障，是依据您将承受多大的风险。
打个譬如，您有：
➡️ RM 1百万的个人贷款
➡️ RM 1百万的房屋贷款
✅ 总共 RM 2百万的债务
那您至少需要RM 2百万的保障，万一风险来临时，你和您的家人拥有足够的保障还清债务。
人寿保障也是最佳的收入替代。譬如说以为家庭里的经济收入主要来源者，他每一年的收入是RM2百千。根据基本原则，他需要年收入的5倍相等于：
➡️ RM 2百千 x 5 = RM 1百万 作为基本保障。万一风险降临而他突然离开人世，他的家人能在没有经济来源的压力下重建生活。

⚠️ Do I need Critical Illnesses coverage if I already have Medical Card? ⚠️
Medical Card can only cover your medical bills during your stay in hospital. What if it is something major like Cancer or Heart Attack (just to name a few)? You may be discharged from Hospital but still may not be fit enough to be back to work (potential loss of income). So if you have Critical Illnesses Coverage in you policies, you will receive a lump sum payout to you to help on your daily expenditures and monthly commitments while having a peace of mind during your recovery period which may drag on for months or years. 🛌
✅So the answer is ‘YES’. You do need Critical Illnesses Coverage, and it is at utmost importance that you should include it into your insurance plans NOW and make sure the amount covered is sufficient.
⚠️ 如果我拥有医药卡了，还需要严重疾病保障吗？⚠️
医药卡只能用来支付您的住院账单。那么如果确诊严重疾病，像是癌症或心脏病呢？您也许可以出院了，但是却无法照常工作（有失去收入的风险）。所以如果您的保单有附加严重疾病保障，您将会获得一笔理赔数额，以应付您的生活日常支出，那您至少可以在一段无法估计的日子里专心休养。🛌
✅所以，答案是：“需要的”。您应该为自己投保足够的严重疾病的保障。

Cancer Treatment Outpatient Claim
Although most of the medical cards offer cashless admission service (with Guarantee Letter issued), but cancer treatment such as chemotherapy which is usually outpatient (i.e. need not stay overnight in the hospital) will not have GL being issued. Hence customer is expected to pay first and file claim later. Generally, the claim process is fast enough to pay for the next chemotherapy fee on the next visit after the first 1-2 claims. Therefore customers need to prepare some fund for the first 1-2 chemotherapy fees.

癌症治疗门诊索赔
虽然大部分的医疗卡都提供无现金入院服务（具有
Guarantee Letter），但癌症治疗如化疗通常是门诊（即不需要在医院过夜）所以不会有GL。因此，客户应先付款，然后再提出索赔。通常索赔过程相对快，索赔金额通常会在 1-2 周后发出，以便支付后续的治疗费用。因此客户需要为头1-2次化疗费用准备一些资金。
