曾经有人告诉我他的雇主（公司）有提供员工保险和医药保障，不需要个人购买医药保险。

我提供以下的分别

公司员工医药保障
1. 年期限更新
团体员工保险是每年更新契约。如果今年员工进院，明年可能那员工的保费暴涨，导致雇主开销吃力。那么雇主会采取什么措施？

2. 医药保障利益有限制
跟据不同员工工作级别的保障，都会有限制。超出医药保障利益限制的医药费，员工需要自负。

3. 保费低廉（雇主负担）

个人医药保障
1. 终身期限（至90岁或100岁）
保证更新。如果今年进院，明年保障继续保持一样无更改，保费也不会提升。

2. 保障利益高或无限

3. 保费高（个人承担）

我也提出几个问题让对方思考。
1. 如果大病延长几年，不能工作，需要拿无假休养。对雇主来说，要负担已暴涨的团体员工医药保费，是不是一个成本？

2. 如果大病需要休养辞职不做，自己没了雇主提供的医药保障，是否还有保险公司接受自己购买个人医药保障？

There are many ways to OPTIMISE your insurance coverage premium, belows are some of it

1. Priotise your insurance protection
Priotise your insurance needs according to your marital status, your liability, your risk objective

2. Maximise your insurance protection
Buy Term insurance for pure life insurance or maximise your life insurance for investment linked
Inform your insurance agent to quote higher protection

3. In case you like to top up medical insurance plan, go for deductible coverage plan instead a comprehensive plan

4. Claim you employer group medical insurance for minor disability or illness for hospitalization instead of your individual medical plan.

5. Check and compare with different insurance companies insurance insurance agent for the quotation

Everyone has their own way to plan their investment. Below is just some points I wish to share as a reference to plan their investment planning.

1. Establish your investment objective
It can be for education funding purpose, short term saving
For instance how much you need to retire comfortably and for how many years, your investment capital.

2. Access your investment profile.
Determine your what type of investors you belongs to.
Are you a conservative, moderate or aggressive investor?

3. Determine the investment channels which is not deviate much from your investment profile.
Its always rule of thumb to diversify into different investment channel.
Shares, units trust, ETF, direct bond , Structured products , Fixed income, real estate

4. Access the risk and return expected from each investment channel

5. Construct the investment portfolio overall return

6. Evaluate the portfolio return weather it can achieve your investment objective.

7. Monitor, reconstruct or rebalance your investment portfolio every year if the overall yearly return is not within your expectation.
