Back to reality,
I just want to forget.
The thing I used to hold so tightly
thinking it was mine
was never meant to stay.

At this point in my life,
all I do is let go.
Not out of weakness,
but because I’ve made peace with the truth:
we don’t have a future together.

Our paths may have crossed,
but they only came close
