*We are hiring an Accountant*

Interested candidates are invited to apply and submit their CV for consideration into the above opening at a manufacturing plant located in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

We are looking to hire an Accountant who will manage the factory's day to day financial activities.

*The duties to be performed shall include but not limited to:*

- Maintaining accurate and up to date accounting records for the plant including maintaining the plant's general ledger and preparing periodic financial statements and schedules.
- Account for raw materials, packaging materials, work in progress and finished goods while also maintaining record for, and reconciling plant related income, expenditure, assets and liabilities.
- Periodically, reconcile physical stock with accounting records. Investigate stock variances, losses and adjustments. Monitor inventory valuation and provision for slow moving / obsolete stock.
- Account processing of payables & receivables.
- Performing bank and account reconciliation.
- Monitoring cashflow, supporting budgeting and forecast along with managing petty cash (Float) system.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and support with audits.
- Collaborate with Head-office to provide financial insights that support operational efficiency and decision making.

*Requirements*

Holders of BSc/HND in Accounting/Accountancy with
5 to 8 years’
experience preferably in manufacturing and trading organisations are needed for this role. Our ideal candidate will be ICAN qualified and should be familiar with the use of software packages.
A good understanding of accounting principles,
compliance laws is expected in addition to possessing very strong business acumen.
Salary package is competitive according to industry standard.

The Defence Headquarters says Nigerian troops conducted 7,062 security operations across the country between July and August 2026.

According to the military:

🔴 1,487 terrorists and insurgents neutralised
🟢 777 kidnapped victims rescued
🔴 354 suspects arrested
🟢 91 fi****ms recovered
🟢 1,331 rounds of am******on recovered
🔴 44 IEDs recovered

The operations targeted terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, arms trafficking, oil theft and other criminal activities.

The military says sustained operations are continuing across the country.
