HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (LAWYER)

A reputable group of companies with subsidiaries operating in Abuja and Nasarawa State is seeking to engage a qualified and experienced Human Resources Manager to join its management team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the Group’s human resources functions, ensure compliance with labour laws and corporate policies, and provide legal advisory support on employment and administrative matters.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and qualification as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (BL).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources and/or legal practice.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage workforce relations across multiple subsidiaries.
Professional HR certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Handle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
Provide legal guidance on employment and corporate matters.
Ensure compliance with labour regulations and company policies.
Advise management on HR and legal risk matters.
Coordinate training and staff development initiatives.
