We’ve got some pretty incredible news to share about our Pukekohe Maternity Hospital fundraiser.

The Kelliher Charitable Trust has approved a generous grant towards the renovation of the hospital’s two birthing suites.
This significant contribution brings our $100,000 fundraising goal firmly within sight.

For more than 70 years, Pukekohe Maternity Hospital has been part of the story of Franklin families - a place where generations of local parents have welcomed their babies into the world.

We started this fundraiser, in partnership with the Middlemore Foundation, because those birthing suites are now tired, outdated and in need of renovation.

The response from our community since then has been incredibly special.

People have donated. Local businesses and organisations have got behind us. And most recently, students from Pukekohe High School, Hill School, Mauku School and Puni School have held mufti days to help the cause, with hopefully more schools joining us in Term 4.

A massive thank you to the Kelliher Charitable Trust for helping take us such a significant step closer, and to every person, school, business and organisation that has helped us get here.

Now we want to keep that momentum going.

There’s just $15,761 left to reach our $100,000 target.

This means the next stage can get underway.

A big thank you to the students, families and staff at Puni School!!

They have raised $466.50 for the Pukekohe Maternity Hospital Renovation Fund. Every contribution brings us another step closer to our $100,000 fundraising goal, helping us create a better space for local mums, babies and families.

It's lovely to see our younger generation getting behind a project that means so much to our community.

A fantastic effort from Pukekohe High School!

Students and the wider school community have raised $1,262 through their recent mufti day for the Pukekohe Maternity Hospital Renovation Fund.

It’s a generous contribution towards our $100,000 fundraising goal, and another great example of our local community getting behind a project that will make a real difference for families across our region.

A huge shout-out to Mauku School, who raised an awesome $202 through their mufti day for the Pukekohe Maternity Hospital Renovation Fund!

Every gold coin, every student who swapped their uniform for mufti, and every family who got behind the day has helped take us another step towards our $100,000 fundraising goal.

It’s pretty special seeing our local schools getting involved and helping give back to a place that has given so much to so many families across our community.

Looking back, one of the biggest surprises about my career had nothing to do with accounting.

When I was starting to lose interest in school, Janine, who was an intermediate accountant at Campbell Tyson (and happened to be my best friend's older sister), suggested I apply for the Training Programme.

I'm so glad I did.

Nearly 28 years later, I can still remember my first few weeks at Campbell Tyson. I was genuinely blown away by how family-oriented and inclusive the culture was.

Looking back, I wish someone had told me that a career at Campbell Tyson is about so much more than learning how to be an accountant.

Over time, you become an integral part of the businesses and families you work with. You contribute to your community in ways you never expected. And one thing's for sure... you'll never stop learning.

If I could give one piece of advice to someone thinking about applying for the Campbell Tyson Training Programme, it'd be simple.

Apply.

Give it your best shot. Stay open-minded, stay curious, and be interested.

The learning doesn't stop when the Training Programme ends, it's only the beginning.
