"When we were tired of renting and ready to look at purchasing a house as a middle-aged couple, it all seemed way too hard. We didn’t know where to start, how loans worked, who to contact. We just started by blindly attending open homes.

After admitting we were totally lost and defeated, we contacted Danté Fyfe. After an incredible initial meeting, we were thrilled to discover we could afford a mortgage immediately. Danté handled all the paperwork for the mortgage and insurance, he made it super easy. He was our go-to person to ensure the bank and insurance were ready for purchasing day. It honestly took a lot of pressure off.

I also highly suggest attending a First Home Buyers seminar run by Danté as we learnt a LOT about terminology, offsetting accounts and discovered about Buyers Agents.

Within 7 weeks of our first meeting with Danté, we had moved into our first home!

Today the Monetary Policy Committee voted to lower the Official Cash Rate by 25 basis points to 3.25%.

Both tariffs and increased policy uncertainty overseas are expected to moderate New Zealand’s economic recovery and reduce medium-term inflation pressures. But there remains considerable uncertainty around this.

Inflation is within the 1-3% target band. The MPC remains well-placed to respond to international and domestic developments, to maintain price stability over the medium term.

The Monetary Policy Committee has today agreed to cut the Official Cash Rate (OCR) by 25 basis points to 3.5%.

As the extent and effect of tariff policies become clearer, the Committee has scope to lower the OCR further as appropriate. Future policy decisions will be determined by the outlook for inflationary pressure over the medium term.
