A different post than what you usually get from us, but some words from Jared we thought were so worth sharing.
I cried this week. A few times actually.
His mother in law called to let us know. She seemed surprised that the news hit me as hard as it did.
We were not Friday night beers mates. That is not often the nature of the relationship. But he had been a client for over seven years. We knew his business. We had been through a bit together. There were battles and we were right there beside him because we wanted him to win.
There were demons chasing him that we did not know about. I understand that now. There are some things we cannot fight for you. But there are things we can.
I don't think people realise how much of a cheerleader we are for our clients. We do not get to play the day to day game with you. But we are on your sideline, guiding, helping, wanting you to reach your goals.
It's not just a tax return once a year. It is more than that.
I hope he knew we were in his corner. Helpless in this instance. But we were there.
