On Thursday our team came together to celebrate Matariki with a shared morning tea. We took time to reflect on the meaning of Matariki, learn about its significance as a time of remembrance, celebration, and looking ahead to the future. We also learnt how to identify the Matariki constellation in the night sky.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, learn and enjoy delicious food together while acknowledging this important New Zealand celebration.

Today we supported Life Education Trust's national fundraising and awareness initiative, Wear Yellow for Harold. Baker Tilly Staples Rodway nationally sponsor Life Education Trust, so it makes sense to get behind them for the day. Their key 2026 wellbeing theme is ‘Support and Respect Each Other’ and the fundraising from this event helps Life Education provide lessons to the tamariki and rangatahi in receiving this important education.

This support is in line with our company values, including being community focused and putting people first. We celebrated with a colouring contest, best dressed award, and yellow morning tea treats.
