Sheehan Financial Independent financial advisers based in Nelson, helping Kiwis with KiwiSaver, insurance and financial planning. Locally owned and focused on practical advice.

Content shared is general in nature and not personalised financial advice. The battle for life balance is hard to win; how do you save for tomorrow but live for today? The answer is tactics, clever tactics: muster your resources, plan carefully and find your happy
place – the sweet spot between a risky manoeuvre and a secure stronghold. And that’s where we can help. Define your happy place, work out which of those risks you can take, and what needs to be kept safe in the strongbox. Once you’ve got that, you’re off to live your life, knowing that today is for living, and tomorrow is secure. What more could you want from a financial advisor? We’re not a bank, or even a small institution. We’re a privately owned company with years of experience, vast qualifications and, most importantly, the philosophy that we’re here to help you live your life on your terms. We start by finding out a little bit about you, your life, what’s important and what’s not. Then the planning begins – what have you got, what do you need, what do you want and how do we make that happen. Mark Sheehan and Claire Corbysmith.

Sometimes the best conversations on our finance podcast aren’t actually about finance. ❤️

Mark and Sam got chatting about family life, being a dad and just how exhausting (and brilliant) raising little humans can be.

And while this little moment made us smile, it’s also a pretty good reminder of why we talk about protecting your family so much.

Life changes. Families grow. Priorities shift.

Having a plan in place isn’t about expecting the worst. It’s about looking after the people who matter most, whatever life throws your way.

Because behind all the financial conversations, there’s usually something much more important.

The people we love.

We're not here to tell you what to do with your money. We're here to help you ask better questions, understand your options and know when it's worth having a conversation with a financial adviser.

Our videos share general information only, not personalised financial advice.

We’ve officially made 100 posts! Well, technically, this one makes 101. But who’s counting? 😂

It might not seem like a huge milestone, but it’s made us stop and think about why we started sharing content in the first place.

It was never about going viral.

We love what we do. We love helping our clients. And we wanted to find a way to reach more Kiwis, make financial conversations a little less intimidating and show the real people behind the advice.

A few podcasts, plenty of laughs, some questionable camera moments and 101 posts later… here we are.

We’re pretty proud of what we’re building, and even more proud of the work we get to do every day.

So thank you for following along, watching, sharing and supporting us. Every little interaction helps us reach someone new, and that’s what matters.

Here’s to more conversations, more questions and making finance feel a little more human.

Finance for everyday people. Always. 💙

What could $5, $10 or $20 a week do for your child’s future? 👀

Claire and Mark are talking about investing for kids, and why more parents are exploring managed funds alongside KiwiSaver.

It’s not necessarily about having a huge amount of money to invest. It’s about starting somewhere, making regular contributions and giving that money time to potentially grow.

And the cool part? Being able to see what those small contributions could look like in 10, 15 or 20 years.

A little planning now could make a big difference to their future.

Got questions about investing for your kids? Come have a chat with us. ☕

We don’t know who made financial advice feel so intimidating… but we’d quite like a word. 😂

We’re financial advisers, yes. But we’re also just humans who drink coffee, have a laugh, ask questions ourselves and definitely don’t expect you to walk through the door already knowing all the answers.

You don’t need to know the jargon.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
And you definitely don’t need to be embarrassed to ask a question.

Come as you are. Ask us anything. We’ll figure the rest out together.

Finance for everyday people. That’s kind of our thing.

The feeling when you finally stop putting your finances in the too-hard basket. 😂

A little planning. A few good conversations. Slightly unnecessary levels of celebration.
We support it.
