A very warm welcome to Josh!

We’re so excited to welcome Josh to the Finsol Auckland advisor support team.

Josh recently completed his Bachelor of Business at Massey University, majoring in Finance and International Business, and brings a fantastic combination of financial knowledge, analytical thinking and a genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals.

He’s already making a great impression on the team and is continuing to build his expertise as he works towards his Level 5 Certificate in Residential Property Lending.

Outside of the office, Josh enjoys keeping active, following the financial markets and investing, and spending time with family and friends.

You got the mortgage. But did you get the advice?

Good lending advice can start well before you find a house. It’s not just about how much you can borrow, but whether the property, lending and overall strategy make sense for where you’re heading.

We can help you think through:

• Property and financial strategy
• Location and property type
• Potential to improve or add value
• Red flags to look out for
• How your lending fits with your income, debt, savings, investments and KiwiSaver
• Your wider financial goals and timeline

From there, good lending advice can help you structure your lending, reduce debt, plan your property strategy and make better refinancing decisions.

We’re delighted to welcome Jared to the Finsol Hawke’s Bay team.

Jared joins us in an Advisor Support role and is working towards becoming a Financial Adviser. With a genuine passion for financial services, he’s a welcome addition to the team.

His interest in financial advice has been shaped by his own experiences setting and achieving goals, and has inspired a passion for helping others build financial confidence.

Jared brings almost six years of experience in wholesale and account management, where building strong relationships and putting people first were at the heart of everything he did. He has completed his NZFSC Insurance qualification and is continuing his studies in investment advice.

Outside of work, Jared enjoys following the NBA, making great coffee, playing the drums, and has a keen interest in cars.

We are beyond proud to share that Paul was awarded Outstanding Specialist Mortgage Adviser (New Zealand) at the Kiwi Adviser Network Awards last night🏆

This is an extraordinary achievement, and one that is so thoroughly deserved.

Since joining Finsol, Paul has worked tirelessly with complete commitment to his clients. His dedication to doing right by the people who trust him has led him to the forefront of the mortgage space and ultimately earned him recognition as New Zealand's top specialist mortgage adviser. That's no small feat, and it is a direct reflection of the incredible adviser he is.

What makes this even more remarkable is that Paul has achieved all of this while also building Finsol from the inside as a director.

Behind the scenes, he has grown and mentored our lending team, helped shape a business culture rooted in putting people first, and supported those around him in developing and thriving, all while never taking his foot off the pedal for his clients.

A lot of people come to us thinking they need help with one specific thing, and sometimes that’s exactly it.

But more often than not, once we start talking, other things come up: KiwiSaver that hasn’t been looked at in years, a home loan structure that could be working harder, insurance gaps, or money sitting in a bank account with nowhere to go 🧐

It’s not that people haven’t thought about these things; it’s that when you’re in the midst of it all, it can feel overwhelming.

Over the last few years, we’ve had hundreds of these conversations with Kiwis from all walks of life, and they’ve completely changed the way we think about advice. We realised people didn’t always just need help with the one thing they came in for. They need someone to zoom out and look at the whole picture with them 🔎

So that’s what we started doing, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

We call it a financial review, and the idea is simple: your finances don’t exist in isolation, so we don’t treat them that way. We show you how all the financial pieces connect, and as a result, everything tends to feel a lot clearer.

We’re genuinely proud of this shift. It’s become quite unique in the financial advice space, and it’s what drives us to stay one step ahead for our clients.

We’re so proud to see this recognition come through for the team at Finsol in this year’s Kiwi Adviser Network nominations.

Gareth Dobson and Paul Ejamme - Finsol Financial Adviser have both been named finalists for Outstanding Insurance Adviser Metro, with Paul also recognised in the Specialist Mortgage Adviser category.

Finsol Financial Advisers has also been nominated for Outstanding Advice Business, five plus advisers.

While a few names sit alongside these nominations, outcomes like this don’t happen without a strong team. We’re truly grateful for the consistency, care, and behind-the-scenes work our team put into supporting our clients every day.
