We are proud to support New Zealand Police Managers' Guild Trust

In 2021, there were over 1,000 chimney fires in New Zealand. These fires caused an average of $100,000 in damage each, and they resulted in 10 deaths.

Creosote, a byproduct of wood burning, is a highly flammable substance that can build up in your chimney over time. If this build-up is not removed, it can catch fire and cause a chimney fire.

How often should you have your chimney cleaned?
If you use your fireplace regularly, you should have it cleaned at least once a year. If you only use your fireplace occasionally, you may be able to get away with cleaning it every two years.

How much does it cost to have your chimney cleaned?
In general, you can expect to pay between $100 and $200 for a chimney cleaning.
