👋 Meet another new member of the MBS Advisors team!

Back in March, we welcomed Shevorne to MBS Advisors as our new Legal Secretary.

After taking time out of the workforce to raise her two young children, Shevorne was ready for her next chapter and was looking for a role close to home in Morrinsville.

"I was looking for something local, and this opportunity came at the right time."

In her role, Shevorne supports our legal team with company administration, trusts and employment contracts. She's also recently begun studying towards becoming a Legal Executive, with career progression and continued learning firmly in her sights.

When asked what Shevorne was looking forward to the most by returning to work after raising her children, she says "I was looking forward to the brain stimulation, meeting new people and building connections."

Outside of work, you'll find Shevorne spending quality time with her family and embracing life as a busy mum. She also enjoys catching up with her friends, playing squash or heading outdoors with her two Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

If she's stopping for a hot drink, you'll find a hot chocolate in her hands rather than a coffee! ☕

👋 Meet the newest member of the MBS Advisors team!

After 20 years in an office manager role with an engineering company in Auckland, followed by 4.5 years as an office administrator in Hamilton, our newest receptionist, Maria, was ready for a change of pace.

Having lived in Morrinsville for the past five and a half years, the opportunity to join MBS came at just the right time.

"I was in very high demanding jobs, I wanted a break and this opportunity came up!"

While Maria is used to the sounds of a manufacturing environment, she’s enjoying the change of pace so far at MBS Advisors, where the machinery has been replaced with the radio, plenty of people and lots of new things to learn!

"I'm looking forward to learning new procedures and aspects of the business that I haven’t experienced before."

Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading and traveling, with a goal of exploring more of Europe and seeing more new places, whether that’s overseas or closer to home.

Her most recent trip was to the Gold Coast with her aunt. ✈️

☕ Her coffee order? A regular flat white never goes astray.

💡 Provisional tax explained
