History in the making 🏉

For the first time ever, the Paparata RAMS are headed to the Meads Cup final!

After a huge win in Oamaru last Saturday, the team have booked their spot in the final against Mid Canterbury this Saturday in Ashburton, in the final of the Hilux Heartland Championship.

Our own Julz & Ewen, along with other RAMS whānau, are making the trip down to Christchurch to be there on the sideline cheering them on.

For those of you watching at home you can catch it live on Sky Sport, kicking off 1.05pm.

Good luck boys, bring it home 🙌

Meet Rui!

Rui brings an impressive mix of knowledge and experience to the BFA team, with qualifications spanning accountancy, law, hotel management and business management.

She has experience across annual accounts, monthly reporting and budgets, with a particular focus on supporting clients in the farming and forestry sectors.

Outside the office, Rui keeps just as busy, from 3D printing and tennis to rock climbing and karaoke. And perhaps unsurprisingly for an accountant, she’s also a self-confessed Excel enthusiast!

We’re delighted to have Rui as part of the BFA team.

Big move, small delay: As you're hopefully aware, we're moving into a new office space where our entire team will finally be together under one roof.

Our moving date has shifted slightly. Our last day at Tuwharetoa Street will now be Friday 23 October, and we'll be open for business at our new home, 81 Horomatangi Street, Taupō, from Tuesday 27 October, straight after Labour Weekend.

Building projects can throw a curveball or two, which is why we've built in some flexibility with our dates. There's a chance things could shift slightly again, but we'll keep you in the loop every step of the way.

We can't wait to welcome you into our new home.

What a day at the Day Night Thriller! 🚴

The BFA crew had a great time getting amongst the action at the end of September, with our teams out on the course and the BFA marquee providing a home base throughout the day.

There was plenty of team spirit, a few tired legs, and lots of good times along the way. A big thanks to everyone who stopped by the marquee to say hello, and well done to all the riders who took on the challenge!

We always enjoy getting behind local events like this and being part of the action alongside our community.

Here are a few snaps from the day 📸

A big shout-out to Quality Print Ltd Taupō! 🙌

Quality Print is one of our valued local suppliers, and yesterday morning Julz put in a bit of a Mayday call to Shawn - we needed an urgent print run turned around that very same day. 😬

And, as always, they delivered!

Outstanding service once again from Shawn, Liam and the whole Quality Print team. Of course, great service deserves a proper thank you… so Julz whipped up a homemade carrot cake for their morning tea today!

At BFA, many of our clients are at the heart of the rural sector - farmers, growers, and business owners who play a vital role in keeping our region thriving. That’s why organisations like Waikato Rural Support Trust resonate so strongly with us. Their commitment to supporting the wellbeing of rural communities aligns closely with what we see every day: the pressures, challenges, and resilience that come with life in the primary sector.

With teams across 14 regions, Rural Support Trust can come directly to you at your home, farm, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

And if you need extra support, they can connect you with the right professionals to help get things back on track.

Our team were stoked to get behind the Taupō Pink Ribbon Walk on Sunday, and even better, the sun came out for it! ☀️

It’s always great to see our community come together in support of such an important cause. The Taupo Pink Ribbon Walk is one BFA is proud to support each year, helping raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, education and support.

A fantastic day for a cause that means so much to so many. 💕

We had a very special little visitor in the office this week! 🤍

Krystal brought in her wee man, Carter, who is now 12 weeks old. 🥰

We love it when our team pop in with their pēpi. It is safe to say Carter got plenty of cuddles while he was here!
