We’re in the Mahurangi Matters!

Our Financial Foundations workshop is all about giving young people practical money skills they can actually use — understanding their pay, budgeting, saving, debt and making good financial decisions from the start.

These are the kinds of things we often wish we’d learned earlier ourselves, so it’s great to see the conversation getting some local attention.

Have a read of the article here:

And if you know a teen or young adult who could benefit from building a little more confidence around money, we’d love you to share the workshop with them.

You own 50%.
They own 50%.
You want to do one thing.
They want to do the opposite.
Now what?

This is exactly the sort of situation that should be considered before you go into business together.

Who has authority over which areas?
Which decisions require agreement?
What happens if you reach a deadlock?
And if you genuinely can't resolve it — what's the process from there?

A good Shareholders Agreement doesn't stop you disagreeing, it gives you a plan for what happens when you do.

If this has got you thinking about your own business, have a chat with us. We can help you work through what needs to be considered and guide you on the next steps to getting the right agreement in place. Call us on 09 425 8536
