Nau mai, haere mai Hannah 👋

It's a pleasure to welcome Hannah Murphy to Ake Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors as a Senior Accountant with over 12 years’ experience in public practice. Hannah has worked with a diverse range of small businesses across industries including property, trades and hospitality.

For Hannah, accounting has always been about more than just numbers. She enjoys getting to know the people behind a business, understanding what they want to achieve and helping them use their numbers to make informed decisions and grow. She believes clients should feel comfortable asking questions, never judged for what they don’t know, and confident that their accountant genuinely has their best interests at heart.

With experience managing teams, Hannah brings a caring and supportive approach to both her clients and colleagues. She takes the time to listen, make complicated things easier to understand and support people to do their best and achieve their goals.

Hannah was drawn to Ake because its values align closely with her own belief that people are at the heart of everything we do. She values being part of a firm that places importance on people, relationships and supporting clients and their wider aspirations.

Outside of accounting, Hannah enjoys spending time with her whānau and friends, and making the most of life with her two dogs. She is also continuing her professional journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

🎉 A massive congratulations to our very own Tanisha; officially a Chartered Accountant! 🎉

On Monday we got to take a moment as a team to celebrate a pretty special milestone.

Tanisha’s journey to becoming a CA is a great reminder that not everyone’s pathway looks the same. Her achievement has been built through 10 years of hands-on experience, mahi, growth and commitment to the profession.

There’s no single way to get where you’re going. Sometimes the journey takes longer, looks different, or follows a completely different path!

Tanisha, we’re incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved and everything you’ve built along the way. 💛 You are so dedicated to your mahi whilst being a pou for your growing whānau!

It’s also a pretty special milestone for our Ake whānau as we continue to support our people to grow in ways that work for them.
