𝗥𝗠𝗖 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟴𝟵-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 extends the tax filing and payment deadline to 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 for taxpayers under BIR Revenue District Offices affected by the continued heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

Taxpayers within the covered RDOs now have extra time to file returns, pay taxes due, and submit required documents originally due 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. This follows the work-from-home arrangement approved by the Office of the President on the NDRRMC's recommendation.

Covered areas include Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, the Cordillera provinces, Central Luzon (Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales), and Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, and Mindoro.

📅 Deadline: 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – filing, payment, and submission of documents originally due 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲; related e-filing windows from 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟭 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 are likewise moved to 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳.

𝗦𝗘𝗖 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 (𝗠𝗖) 𝗡𝗼. 𝟮𝟭, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 rolls out paperless filing for select amendment applications through the 𝗲𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹 — no more hard-copy submission required for these specific changes.

What's new:

𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 — Covers select Articles of Incorporation items (prefatory clause, principal office address, term of existence, number of directors/trustees, fiscal year for OPCs) and By-Laws items (date of annual meeting, fiscal year).

𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 — Corporations may still file through Simple or Regular Processing with hard copies; paperless filing is an added option, not a replacement.

𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗲𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗘 — Applicants upload PDFs (max 25MB each) via an eSECURE-credentialed account, including the notarized Amendment Form and a notarized Secretary's Certificate with Undertaking.

𝗨𝗽𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — 100% of filing fees must be paid within 𝟭𝟬 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 of assessment; all documents remain subject to notarization despite electronic submission.

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 — The SEC may conduct random post-evaluation and require original documents within 𝟭𝟱 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀; non-compliance can mean a 𝗣𝗛𝗣𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬.𝟬𝟬 penalty and/or revocation of the amendment.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝟭𝟳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲).

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 (𝗥𝗠𝗖) 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟴𝟰-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 clarifies the guidelines and procedures under RR No. 004-2026 for the One-Time Abatement Program — the BIR's window for Micro Taxpayers to settle qualifying tax liabilities and/or penalties.

Key Clarifications:

* Micro Taxpayer Classification — Based on your IRIS-TRS classification as of December 31, 2025. Verify via ORUS or your RDO.

* ₱80,000 Threshold — Basic tax and compromise penalties are aggregated per taxable year; surcharges and interest are excluded from the threshold (but abated if the basic tax is).

* Withholding Taxes Included — All unpaid basic taxes for the taxable year, across tax types, must be aggregated and included — partial applications are not allowed.

* ₱5,000 Abatement Fee — Filed per taxable year using BIR Form 0605 (Tax Type: "MA"), within 5 working days of application.

* Open Cases & Unfiled Returns — Taxpayers may still avail even with unfiled returns; filing to rectify records does not disqualify availment.

📅 Important Deadline:
December 31, 2026 – Last day to file applications for the One-Time Abatement Program
