The SLU Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants has actively participated in the 𝕭𝖆𝖑𝖆𝖓𝕾𝖊𝖗𝖞𝖊: 𝖂𝖆𝖓𝖘𝖆𝖕𝖆𝖓𝖆𝖙𝖞𝖒 𝖔𝖋 𝕹𝖚𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝕹𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖘, an educational forum arranged by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - Region XII, where lessons and professional stories unfold throughout different discussions that build ethical development and academic enrichment.

BalanSerye featured five various topics related to Accounting, namely, “𝘾𝙈𝘼 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮–𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚” which focuses on the stories of expertise in management accounting, “𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙄𝙎 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨” that tackles about AIS professionals and the role of accountants in the evolving digital world, “𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜” that revolves in improving accuracy and strategic support “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙢𝙖𝙥: 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮” that talks about boosting confidence and shaping the edge as accounting professionals, and “𝘾𝙋𝘼 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨: 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚” which focuses on understanding the accounting profession and overall impact of it in society. These topics sharpen minds and provide a great source of knowledge and wisdom that could help JPIANs improve and expand their skills in the Accounting and Business Fields.

The event has been a great success, with engaging participation from JPIAns and eye-opening lectures from our speakers. Each lecture given by the speakers molded the curious minds of the participants, and the exchange of curiosity and knowledge will surely guide our participants in their professional journey.

Therefore, it was truly a magnificent experience made by our enthusiastic participants, dedicated organizers, and the excellence of our speakers.

𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒆. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝑿𝑪𝑬𝑬𝑫𝒆𝒅.

Louisians rose to the top at the EXCEED2026 Accounting Challenge, an event organized by the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants of De La Salle University, proving excellence once again.🏆✨

On March 14, the 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒂𝒄𝒆 put participants to the test. It was a true battle of wits, blending tough questions across all six LECPA subjects with fun riddles, puzzles, and fast-paced games. After a tight competition, one team stood above the rest. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐏𝐆 clinched the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, powered by the winning trio of 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫, 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞. But they were not alone in raising the Louisian banner, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐈𝐀𝐀 and 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔 also did well. Team IAA brought together 𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐎𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧, 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐱𝐳𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚, while 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔 fielded 𝐀𝐯𝐡𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐬. Together, they proved that when Louisians compete, excellence follows.

The momentum continued on March 28 as Louisians proved that excellence knows no bounds, dominating the Quiz Bee across two categories: 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒖𝒑 and 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒖𝒑.

In the 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒖𝒑, competitors faced a test of analytical and critical thinking through four accounting subjects: FAR, CFAS, Accounting for Partnership, and Accounting for Corporations. Three Louisians advanced to the Semi-Finals namely 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐚, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐣𝐨, showing focus and calm under pressure. Stepping into the spotlight, fellow Louisians 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨, 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐲𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐲𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐫 delivered stellar performances, carrying the Louisian banner with pride and competitive spirit.

In the 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒖𝒑, competitors faced the ultimate test of analytical and critical thinking across six LECPA subjects: FAR-AFAR, BAR, AUD, ISC, TAX, and RFBT. When the scores were tallied, one Louisian stood at the top as 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞 claimed the 4𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞. Furthermore, 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐨, 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐨, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 advanced in the Semi-Finals round. Completing the roster of competitors is 𝐃𝐡𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐨. They truly showed unwavering dedication and represented the university with pride.

𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 during this Lenten season is more than a tradition, it is an important reminder of Christ’s journey to the cross for the salvation of humanity. Held at the Devesse Lobby, Saint Louis University Maryheights Campus, the event served as a dynamic platform where aspiring Louisians were introduced to the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSAc) and Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting (BSMA) programs of Saint Louis University. Participants gained valuable insights into the curriculum, the academic environment in SLU, and the wide range of opportunities that await them in the field of accountancy.

The session also provided guidance on what to expect in college life, along with practical tips to help them prepare for their academic journey. Through shared experiences and meaningful discussions, students were encouraged to envision their future and take their first steps with confidence and purpose.

To further enrich the experience, participants were given a campus tour, allowing them to explore the university grounds and see what could soon become their second home. This immersive experience offered them a glimpse of campus life and helped them better imagine themselves as future Louisians.
