On July 7, 2026, at about 2:30 PM, PLTCOL JOSEF CARLO V. SILANG, Chief of Police of the Bayugan Component City Police Station, led a barangay visitation and conducted a community dialogue (Pulong-Pulong) with barangay officials, school officials, and students, including minors involved in Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), held at Barangay San Agustin, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

The activity aimed to strengthen police-community partnership, promote crime prevention awareness, and encourage the youth to become responsible and law-abiding members of the community through guidance, dialogue, and collaborative efforts among stakeholders.

On July 7, 2026, at about 9:00 AM, personnel of the Bayugan Component City Police Station, led by PMSg Mashul Saikala Nami Jr., Salaam/CCAD PNCO, under the supervision of PLTCOL JOSEF CARLO V SILANG, COP, participated in the Disaster Preparedness Symposium organized by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), headed by Mr. Darlito Sulit, Operations Officer, at New Katipunan Elementary School, Brgy. San Juan, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

During the symposium, PMSg Nami served as one of the resource speakers and delivered lectures on the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 and the harmful effects of illegal drugs.

The activity aimed to strengthen awareness among students, promote a culture of respect and discipline, and encourage them to make informed and responsible decisions while actively supporting community safety and disaster preparedness.

BAYUGAN CCPS AND SALAAM POLICE PNCO RECOGNIZED FOR EXCEPTIONAL SUPPORT TO THE SALAAM POLICE PROGRAM THROUGH PROJECT SHUKRAN

Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur – PLTCOL JOSEF CARLO V. SILANG, Chief of Police of the Bayugan Component City Police Station (CCPS), together with Salaam/CCAD PNCO PMSg Mashul S. Nami Jr., received Certificates of Commendation from the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office in recognition of their exemplary leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to the successful implementation of the Salaam Police Program.

The recognition was conferred during the Provincial Flag Raising Ceremony held on July 6, 2026, at the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office, Camp Democrito O. Plaza, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

PMSg Nami was recognized for his unwavering commitment as an active member of the Salaam Police Advocacy Group (SPAG), particularly for spearheading community-based initiatives that strengthen police-community relations and foster mutual understanding between the Philippine National Police and Muslim communities. His efforts, especially in implementing Project Shukran—a flagship community outreach initiative under the Salaam Police Program that provides sustainable water systems, humanitarian assistance, and other community development projects—have become a model of compassionate and inclusive policing. His outstanding service also earned him the Outstanding Police Non-Commissioned Officer Award during the 4th SPAG National Summit held on June 20, 2026, at the M.I.C.E. Center, Quezon City.

The Bayugan Component City Police Station was likewise recognized for its steadfast support of the Salaam Police Program and its strong partnership with SPAG. Through Project Shukran and other community engagement initiatives, Bayugan CCPS has consistently promoted peace, strengthened public trust, fostered interfaith understanding, and delivered meaningful public service to both Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
