Naranasan mo na ba madisappoint sa isang bagay o ng isang taong minamahal mo?
God touched my heart today and reminded me of something.
Most of the time masaya tayo kapag may hawak or kumikita tayo ng pera. Most of the time din namromroblema tayo dahil wala tayong pera. Sabi pa nga sa isang meme, "Teka nilalagnat ata ako, kailangan ko ng PERAcetamol". But what will happen if you lose all your money? Kapag wala ka nang pera, minsan napipilitan ka gumawa ng hindi maganda kumita lang ng pera. You are willing to cut corners and sacrifice even your own family for the sake of money. Why? Because unconsciously, you've idolized money...because you've loved money more than you loved God. Pero hindi naman lahat ng tao ay pare-pareho, some of us might not be idolizing money, na kahit walang pera, okay lang at masaya pa din sila. But here's the catch..they love somebody, it might be a girlfriend, boyfriend, or their family. There is nothing wrong in loving them, but if you love them more than you love God, you are subjected to disappointments. Dahil walang taong perfect, walang perfect na parents, asawa, boyfriend or girlfriend that will satisfy you, sooner or later you will be disappointed dahil hindi nila nameemeet yung expectations mo. Whatever or whoever it is na mahal mo, will become your focus, and eventually will control you and worst case it may destroy you. That's the danger if you let good things in life become the ultimate. That's the danger kapag hindi mo finocus ang love mo kay God.
Today is Valentine's day. You might get sad dahil wala kang matatanggap na present from your crush, you might get insecure kapag may mga nakita kang girls or boys na may dala dalang flowers and chocolates, or you might get disappointed dahil hindi ka dinate ng mga taong mahal mo or worse come to worst, you might get hurt dahil may ibang dinate yung taong ineexpect mong idadate ka. Alam mo sabi ni Lord, okay lang yan. You need to realize that these idols will never satisfy you and you have to accept the fact that these people are bound to fail your expectations. The only person in the universe that is worth loving, that will satisfy you, that will fulfill the promises beyond your expectations, and that will never destroy you is the Lord our God, because He is love.

It only means that when we learn to love God, we learn to love others better. I wanna thank God for reminding me that I am not deserving yet He still give me grace. I hope we learn to love God above anything else. I hope that this God's extension of love made an impact to you in its simplest form.
