From Paris to Lucerne, the journey itself was already part of the adventure.

For hours, we watched the French countryside unfold outside our coach window—vast green fields, charming landscapes, and eventually, the majestic mountains of Switzerland.

We passed through 𝑩𝙖𝒔𝙚𝒍, where Switzerland, France, and Germany meet, before finally arriving in beautiful Lucerne.

Then came the moments worth the long ride:
a stroll along 𝙇𝒂𝙠𝒆 𝑳𝙪𝒄𝙚𝒓𝙣𝒆, views of the Swiss Alps, and a visit to the centuries-old 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒍 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆.

It reminded me of something I often share as a Financial Advisor and Life Coach:

Some destinations take years of planning before you finally get to enjoy them.

Yes, it was a long tourist bus ride.

𝙒𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚

We needed medical clearance for my hubby’s eye surgery. Our sched today July 22 9-12am in his clinic was cancelled. The next available was the day we needed to submit the requirements.

So we went to the doctor’s other clinic where his schedule is at 2-4pm. We arrived at 1:45 pm, #14 in line.

2pm came and went. 4pm came and went. No doctor yet.

The secretary announced a few minutes after 4pm: “Doc has just finished performing a heart bypass operation in another hospital. Those who are willing to wait will be accommodated.”

He walked in at 5:45pm, both hands up - apologetic. Tired. Honest. Happy.

During our turn, I found out that he performed 4 heart surgeries from morning till 4pm, the reason why his morning clinic schedule was cancelled. The fourth operation was very critical, took longer than usual, that's why he was late.

𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒏: 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂 𝒑𝒊𝒛𝒛𝒂.

𝑭𝒖𝒏 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒕: It was created in 1889 in Naples by pizzaiolo Raffaele Esposito.
He made it for Queen Margherita of Savoy, a pizza lover, using tomato, mozzarella, and basil — the colors of the Italian flag. 🇮🇹

136 years later, it is made for me in Milan, Italy. I almost left it behind because I couldn’t recall another term for take-out (take - away pala)! Dinner at the hotel secured! Di pa rin namin nubos noong dinner!
