Advisor Harold Labuguen shares his memorable claim story.

“The insured was the wife of my close friend who got her first Life Insurance policy in March 2020 when she was 7 MONTHS PREGNANT, their firstborn. For the past 4 years, we have always talked about the importance of preparing for the future but somehow it was pushed back to prioritize bills such as mortgage payments, and other expenses.

Finally, last year, they decided to secure the future of their upcoming child since they will be starting a family. She was so happy that she got approved for her first life insurance policy.

TWO MONTHS INTO THE POLICY, after giving birth to a healthy baby girl, the insured died of unexpected complications. As the husband tries to recover from the loss of her beloved wife, her legacy lives on with their daughter and the fund to help secure her future. The husband, as her beneficiary, received a Php 1 Million death claim benefit from her policy.

Marami sa Pilipino ganito ang sakit, saka nalang ako kukuha ng LIFE INSURANCE, may trabaho nmn ako, may ipon, may business, may philhealth atbp.



NUNG NAGKASAKIT...

Natigil sa trabaho wala ng sweldo, ubos ang ipon, lugi ang business kaya nag close, at sa philhealth - hindi kasya ang bayad sa hospital at hindi sagot ni philhealth ang mga gamot.
Ang sakit Diba? Lalo na kung ikaw ang nagbabantay sa kanya. Kaya kung ako ikaw unahin mo ma insured, wag kang pabigat sa pamilya at sarili mo. BUMILI KA NANG LIFE INSURANCE NA MAY KASAMANG CRITICAL ILLNESS COVERAGE.

READ: Former Socioeconomic Planning Secretary and Ateneo professor Cielito Habito asserted that the immediate reduction of the country’s corporate income tax (CIT) rate under the proposed Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act (CREATE) bill is necessary “to better align ourselves with the rest of our ASEAN neighbors, whose current rates range from 17 to 25 percent.” (Full article: https://opinion.inquirer.net/130062/creative-tax-adjustments)

CREATE will immediately reduce the CIT rate from 30% to 25% by July 2020 and further reduce it to 20% from 2023 to 2027. This will make the Philippines at par with the ASEAN average and help attract multinational firms seeking alternative sourcing markets and manufacturing bases.

According to Habito, CREATE “has to be part of the effort to protect and create even more jobs.” The reform will also allow businesses, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), to keep more resources for retaining their employees and continuing operations during and after this crisis.
