One thing I've learned as a financial advisor...

Parents rarely think about themselves.

Ang una gyud nila gihunahuna kay ang ilang mga anak.

They work hard every day to provide for their family's needs, but they often forget to protect the one making all of it possible.

The truth is, if something happens to the parent, the whole family can be affected financially. That's why I'm genuinely happy every time a mom or dad decides to get protected.

It's more than getting a policy.

It's choosing to make sure that even if life becomes unpredictable, their family won't have to face everything alone. To every parent reading this, protecting yourself is also one of the greatest ways to protect your family ๐Ÿค

A few days ago, I met with a young client. When I asked her why she hasn't started her protection yet, even though naa siyay savings, she said "Yung commitment kasi... baka hindi ko siya mapatuloy." And honestly, valid man pud siya nga concern.

Pero while reflecting on our conversation, narealize nako nga sometimes we focus so much on whether kaya ba nato i-commit ang future payments, that we forget what we have today.

Karun ta healthy. Karun ta capable. Karun ta young pa.

We don't know what life will look like 5, 10, or 20 years from now. But what we do know is that today, we have the opportunity to prepare while things are still okay.

Mao nang usahay, financial planning is not about predicting the future. It's about making wise decisions while you still have the chance. Because the best time to prepare is not when life gets difficult. It's while everything is still going well โค๏ธ
