📣 PUBLIC NOTICE

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) informs all covered corporations of the extension of deadlines for the filing of 2025 Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and related reportorial requirements.

This extension aligns with the previously announced extension by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR).

🗓 REVISED DEADLINES:

✅ Audited Financial Statements (AFS)
• New Deadline: June 15, 2026
(From May 29, 2026)

✅ SEC Form 52-AR (with AFS attachment)
• New Deadline: May 15, 2026
(From April 30, 2026)

✅ Annual Reports (SEC Form 17-A, with AFS attachment)
• New Deadline: May 15, 2026
(From April 15, 2026)

📌 Applicable to corporations with fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, including:
• Domestic and foreign corporations
• Brokers and dealers
• Publicly listed companies and other covered entities

📣 PUBLIC ADVISORY

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) announces the extension of the deadline for the filing of 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR) and payment of corresponding taxes, including the submission of required attachments.

🗓 New Deadline: May 15, 2026
(From the original April 15, 2026)

This extension is granted to provide taxpayers additional time to comply, following the declaration of a National Energy Emergency.

✅ Taxpayers may continue to file and pay through BIR electronic filing and payment platforms, or through Authorized Agent Banks.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this extension and ensure timely compliance.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 30-2026, extending the deadline to May 15, 2026 for the filing of 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns, payment of the corresponding taxes due thereon, and submission of required attachments.

“In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., this extension is meant to make tax compliance easier for taxpayers at a time when many are managing added strain from the ongoing energy crisis,” Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza said.

Taxpayers may file through the BIR’s electronic filing platforms and pay electronically through available payment platforms, or manually through the nearest Authorized Agent Banks.

📢 BIR Advisory: Guidelines for Filing 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR)

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 20-2026, providing guidelines for filing 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR) and paying the corresponding taxes on or before April 15, 2026.

🔹 Filing Platforms
• Use eFPS if you are a mandated eFPS taxpayer.
• Non-eFPS filers and “No Payment” returns may use the Offline eBIRForms Package v7.9.5.
• Filing through Certified Tax Software Providers (TSPs) is also allowed for certain returns.

🔹 Proof of Filing
• A Filing Reference Number (FRN) or Tax Return Receipt Confirmation (TRRC) serves as proof of filing.
• Manual “Received” stamps are no longer required.
• eBIRForms users should keep a screenshot of the submission confirmation as additional proof.

🔹 Payment Options
Taxes may be paid through:
• eFPS
• LandBank Link.Biz, UnionBank Online, or DBP PayTax
• E-wallets such as Maya

🔹 Micro and Small Taxpayers
• May manually file using BIR Form 1701-MS (not yet available electronically).
• Alternatively, they may file electronically using Forms 1701 or 1701A with only the minimum required fields.

🔹 Submission of Attachments
Required attachments must be submitted through the eAFS System within 15 days after the filing deadline.

🔹 No Penalties
• No penalties for filing at the wrong venue.
• Micro and small taxpayers will not be penalized if they filed electronically using 1701/1701A or manually via 1701-MS.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) adopts a 4-day on-site and 1-day work-from-home arrangement effective Monday, March 9, as part of government energy conservation measures amid rising global oil prices.

Under Revenue Memorandum Order No. 007-2026, BIR personnel will report on-site from Monday to Thursday, while work-from-home arrangements will be implemented every Friday.

Frontline services under the Large Taxpayers Service, the Regional Offices, and the Revenue District Offices will remain operational on Fridays, with appropriate staffing arrangements to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of taxpayer services such as taxpayer registration, filing, payment assistance, and inquiries.

This is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for government agencies to reduce electricity and fuel consumption by 10% to 20%.

The BIR will also implement additional energy-saving measures across offices, including reduced electricity use, fuel-efficient vehicle operations, and expanded use of digital services.
