Mindanao State University – General Santos is a state university with a 156-hectare land located at Fatima, General Santos City, South Cotabato, Philippines. The university offers various degree programs, as well as extension services, and also the operation of the Senior High School Program which started in the year 2016. The vision and mission of MSU - General Santos Senior High School is to become the center of excellence among all Senior High School in the SOCCKSARGEN area and to produce quality and holistically-developed graduates equipped with 21st-century skills prepared for higher education. SHS refers to the last two years of the K to 12 programs that have been implemented by the Department of Education here in the Philippines since 2012 – namely, grades 11 and 12. We offer Academic Track, which aims to prepare students for more advanced university courses. Under the academic track, we offer three learning strands, namely, the Science and Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS).

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞

Mindanao State University – General Santos CETD Senior High School warmly welcomed the 𝗽𝗿𝗲-𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 from the College of Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education Department as they officially embarked on their Experiential Learning Course Deployment Program.

The program, spearheaded by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗘𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴-𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻, 𝗠.𝗘𝗱, ELC Adviser - BSED and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗖. 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮, 𝗠𝗔𝗘𝗱, Director of MSU-GSC CETD SHS together with the administration and faculty, provides our future educators with meaningful opportunities to experience the realities of teaching, engage with learners, and put their knowledge into practice.

May this deployment be a journey of learning, growth, and discovery as our pre-service teachers take another step toward becoming competent, compassionate, and committed educators.

𝙎𝙐𝙂𝙊𝘿 𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙐𝙃𝘼 | 𝘿𝙖𝙮 1 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧-𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥

The MSU-CETD Senior High School kicked off its Research Seminar-Workshop on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 giving students a deeper look into research ethics, topic development, and academic publishing.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳.. 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗡. 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗮, 𝗣𝗵𝗗, opened the sessions with a discussion on developing and publishing high school research. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗮, 𝗠𝗔, then tackled research ethics and explained the roles and functions of the University Institutional Ethics Review Committee (IERC).

The students also gained valuable insights into topic development across various fields. 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗚. 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗷𝗮 shared guidelines for developing research topics in Applied Sciences, while 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗦. 𝗧𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗰, 𝗣𝗵𝗗 discussed topic development in the Life Sciences. Closing the day’s sessions, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗖𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿, 𝗥𝗘𝗘, introduced the students to research topic development within the field of Machine Learning.

It was a day filled with new ideas, meaningful discussions, and questions that will hopefully lead to even more meaningful research. Here’s to turning curiosity into knowledge, and ideas into research!

MSU - General Santos proudly joins the entire MSU System in celebrating its 65th Founding Anniversary with the theme, “MSU @ 65: Kultura, Kahusayan, at Kaunlaran Tungo sa Isang Inklusibong Pamantasan.”

Together, we celebrate six and a half decades of shared heritage and meaningful contributions to the development of Mindanao and beyond.

As one MSU community, let’s continue to uphold our culture and foster progress toward a truly inclusive university.

As 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗮, 𝗠𝗔𝗘𝗱, steps forward to take on a new challenge, he accepts the opportunity of leading the College of Education Training Department–Senior High School (CETD-SHS) as its new 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱.

Pursuant to 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟭𝟳𝟴-𝟮𝟲𝗖, Sir Ralph is officially designated as Academic Head, effective 𝗦𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳.

With a new role comes a new chapter, new demands, and new possibilities to lead, serve, and inspire. May this new journey be marked by purposeful leadership and meaningful contributions to the CETD-SHS community.

Para sa mga taon ng dedikasyon, pamumuno, at taos-pusong paglilingkod na ibinigay mo sa College of Education Training Department–Senior High School (CETD-SHS), taos-puso ang aming 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 sa’yo 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗲𝗲 𝗚. 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗱, 𝗠𝗔 .

Ang iyong panahon bilang Academic Head ay hindi lamang nasukat sa mga tagumpay, bagkos higit sa lahat sa tunay na malasakit at pagmamahal na iyong ibinahagi sa mga g**o, kawani, at mag-aaral. Namuno ka nang may layunin, naglingkod nang buong puso, at naging bahagi sa paglikha ng isang departamentong pinahahalagahan at sinusuportahan ang bawat isa.

Alinsunod sa 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟬𝟯𝟴-𝟮𝟲𝗖, si Asst. Prof. Paid ay inilipat sa 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, na may bisa kaagad. The 𝗖𝗘𝗧𝗗-𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 at the AVR, University Library, MSU-General Santos last August 26, 2026 honored the achievements of our students from the previous academic year 2025-2026. More than a celebration of milestones, it was a moment to recognize their hard work and foster a culture where excellence is nurtured, celebrated, and carried forward.

May every achievement be a reminder that every effort, no matter how small, can grow into something worth celebrating.

MSU-Gensan Senior High School officially welcomed the new academic year today, August 12, at the Laktatan Wellness Garden, through the annual Sugod Siklab.

The celebration featured the Matriculation Rites, Symbolic Pinning, and messages from school leaders and student representatives. A highlight of the program was the tribute of Sir Jaydee G. Paid, MA, outgoing Academic Head, as everyone reflected on his journey and shared words of gratitude for his service and love for the department.

The event was also graced by the College of Education’s Dean, Prof. Diane Mae Ulanday-Lozano, EdD, alongside the recognition of the faculty member with the highest Teachers Evaluation Rating, celebrating excellence not only among students but also among the educators who guide them.

The celebration continued with the Club Fair and Siklab Feast, bringing the community together as everyone gears up for another year of learning and fostering excellence.
