Official Statement on the Integration of the Senior High School Department and the College of Education for Intramurals 2025

Pursuant to SO No. 1128-25c, titled “Integration of the College of Training Department (Junior High School and Senior High School) into the College of Education,” the Senior High School Department is now officially part of the College of Education and shall participate under its banner in all activities and competitions, including the Intramurals 2025.

The following shall serve as the official signifiers of the College of Education:
Moniker: Legendary Mentors
Colors: Dominant Blue with an Accent of Pink

Through this integration, every triumph of a Senior High School participant becomes a shared victory for the entire College of Education—and vice versa. Together, we embody the true spirit of being Legendary Mentors—bound by passion, strengthened by partnership, and driven by purpose.

To our students, faculty, and beloved alumni, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support for the Legends. May this same spirit extend to the College of Education, our mother college. Let us continue to exemplify unity, respect, collaboration, and excellence as Legendary Mentors.

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙨 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙈𝙎𝙐 𝙂𝙎𝘾-𝘾𝙀𝙏𝘿 𝙎𝙃𝙎, 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚

The Mindanao State University–General Santos City College of Education Training Department Senior High School (MSU-CETD SHS) successfully held its inaugural Matriculation Ceremony for School Year 2025–2026, marking the first such event in the ten years since the senior high school’s establishment.

Held at the Laktanan Wellness Garden, the ceremony featured a processional of section banners, the Oath of Matriculation, a symbolic pinning, and messages from administrators and student leaders. Students were then guided to the Siklab Building in a shepherding walk that formally opened the academic year.

The event also launched a series of welcome and orientation activities, including a Clubs and Organizations Fair, interactive games, and the Siklab Feast—a communal meal shared by students, faculty, and staff in a spirit of camaraderie. These activities aimed to foster belonging, school pride, and meaningful connections among students, faculty, and peers, while orienting them to academic life and available campus resources.

Students were embraced as part of a true family where teachers serve as second parents, classmates as siblings, and mutual support is central to the community. They were encouraged to build trust, show respect, uplift one another, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. The ceremony emphasized pakikipagkapwa and mutual care as cornerstones of the Siklab Family’s unity and shared growth.

The Mindanao State University–General Santos City College of Education Training Department Senior High School celebrates the warm embrace of the College of Education.

This symbolic meeting during the parade marks not only the beginning of for the upcoming Intramurals, but also the start of deeper collaboration in our shared academic journey. 💙💗

NEWS FEATURE: 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤-𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐚: 𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐥

Ipinagdiriwang ng Kolehiyo ng Edukasyon ang kanilang pagbabalik-sigla sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang gawain, mula sa larong lahi hanggang sa mainit na pagtanggap sa mga g**o at mag-aaral ng Senior High School. Nagbahaginan sila ng pagkain, tawanan, at samahan, at sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, umalingawngaw ang kanilang sigaw-kampeon: “Gaaso-aso, gasiga-siga, aabante na dugong bughaw!”

Sa eksklusibong panayam ng The Papyrus, ipinahayag ng Presidente ng College of Education Students’ Organization (CESO) na labis silang nasisiyahan sa pagsama ng Senior High School sa kanilang hanay. Umaasa sila na sa tulong nito, ang tinaguriang “Legendary Mentors” ay sa wakas makakamit ang kampeonato matapos ang ilang taong pagiging 1st runner-up sa Intramurals.

"Napakasaya namin na magiging bahagi na rin sa amin ang Senior High School. Umaasa kaming ang kanilang pagdaragdag ay magbubukas ng daan upang ang tinaguriang ‘Legendary Mentors’ ay sa wakas makamit ang kampeonato," ayon kay Roger Lamoste, Presidente ng CESO.

Samantala, ipinahayag naman ng Dekana ng Kolehiyo ng Edukasyon, Gng. Diane Mae P. Ulanday-Lozano, EdD, ang kanyang pananaw sa opisyal na pagsasanib-puwersa ng kolehiyo at Senior High School Department.

"This convergence is overwhelming in a positive way because we have become a powerhouse in staff and stakeholders. Together, we will move forward. We are excited. As Legendary Mentors, we have the best team and bigger milestones to achieve—such as applying for the Center of Excellence. This diversity and attention to the workforce will be very helpful in reaching both national and international recognition," pahayag nito.

Sa bagong yugtong ito, ang Departamento ng Senior High School ay hindi lamang karagdagang pwersa kundi mahalagang katuwang sa bawat laban at tagumpay. Sa kanilang pagsasanib, ang “Legendary Mentors” ay mas handang humakbang, mas buo ang puwersa, at mas malinaw ang landas patungo sa inaasam na kampeonato—sa loob at labas ng unibersidad.

The Mindanao State University– General Santos City College of Education Training Department Senior High School (MSU-CETD SHS) conducted its Parent Orientation in preparation for School Year 2025–2026.

The orientation aimed to brief parents, which are considered key partners in student success, on school policies, academic and non-academic policies, and financial responsibilities. The SHS administration emphasized the importance of parent involvement in monitoring student progress, following proper communication channels, and providing support at home.

Adjustments in school fees, particularly the increase in PTA and Research Fees, were also presented and explained.

The event reinforced the shared commitment between parents and school staff to work together in supporting students' academic growth and overall development.

The search is on for the official 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧! This contest is open to all 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 and 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 students of MSU-Gensan. The deadline for submission is on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, and entries must be sent to the official CESO email ([email protected]) or contact Jay L. Fuscablo.
