Another dental day 🦷

3rd time na ni Eli magpa-dentist at 2nd time naman dito sa LE Dental Clinic Imus Cavite. At dahil hindi na niya first time, I was asked to wait na lang dito sa reception area.

Ako lang ba?

Yung anak ko, super confident and brave to do all the procedures without me sa tabi niya (2 dental fillings, 1 sealant, 1 tooth extraction, and dental cleaning).

He said he’s okay on his own with his dentist.

Pero ako?

Parang ako yung hindi okay. 😂

Okay lang kaya siya doon?

Nasasaktan kaya siya?

Ano na kayang ginagawa sa kanya ngayon?

And a lot more running through my mind habang naghihintay.

Ganto pala yun.

There’s this feeling na hindi ko ma-explain.

Bittersweet.

Parang kelan lang, he always needed me sa tabi niya.

Pero ngayon, he’s brave enough to say na kaya niya na mag-isa.

Nakakaproud.

Nakakatuwa.

Pero may konting kurot din sa puso.

Kasi habang lumalaki sila, unti-unti rin nilang pinapakita na kaya na nila kahit wala tayo sa tabi nila every step of the way.

And I guess that’s the goal all along.

To raise them to be confident, brave, and independent.

Pero nobody tells you how emotional it feels when you finally start seeing it happen.

If you’re a mom, I know you know what I mean. 😌

P.S. Yung tatay, di ko na masyadong iniisip. Mamaya ko na lang siya kamustahin pag magbabayad na. 😆

Through this experience, he learned that winning isn’t always guaranteed, that setbacks are part of growth, and that every challenge is an opportunity to improve.

More importantly, he learned to recognize and value his strengths, work on his weaknesses, and celebrate not only his own victories but also the successes of others.
