READ | DTI moves towards prohibiting v**e open pods and e-liquids in PH

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is intensifying efforts to protect consumers by moving to prohibit the manufacture, importation, distribution, and retail sale of v**e open pods, which allow users to refill a cartridge with uncertified e-liquids that may pose health and safety risks.

In line with these efforts, the DTI has removed an open pod model from the scope of a holder’s Certificate of Philippine Standards (PS) License—ensuring that only compliant v***r product systems are made available to the public.

The DTI constantly updates the list of Certified Philippine Standards License Holders. Stakeholders may refer to this list posted on the OSMV Homepage: https://www.dti.gov.ph/dti-osmv.
