HOSPITAL BILLS, MAS MABILIS NA LUMALAKI KUMPARA SA IBINIBIGAY NG PHILHEALTH

Mula 2018 hanggang 2024, umakyat ng 70% ang mga bayarin sa mga ospital, habang 31.75% lamang ang itinaas ng PhilHealth reimbursements, ayon sa pag-aaral na ibinahagi ng Philippine Institute For Development Studies (PIDS) noong nakaraang linggo.

Anila, dahil dito ay mas lumalaki ang kailangang sagutin ng mga pasyente mula sa sarili nilang bulsa.

Ipinapakita rin umano ng datos na karamihan ng gastusin ay napupunta sa inpatient care at marami sa mga nao-ospital ay nagmumula sa mga kondisyong puwede sanang maiwasan kung may sapat at maagap na primary care.

Isinagawa ang pag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng suporta mula sa Department of Health, PhilHealth at Philippine Business for Social Progress.

Dagdag nila, kapag kulang ang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa komunidad ay napipilitan ang mga tao na magpa-ospital na mas magastos.

"As the country advances Universal Health Care, what do health insurance data reveal both progress and persistent gaps? How can these insights guide reforms to strengthen primary care, improve public spending, cost control, and reduce preventable hospitalizations and inequities in healthcare?" hamon ng PIDS sa mga kinauukulan.

Idiniin ng PIDS na ang tamang reporma at implementasyon ay susi sa mas patas at mas epektibong serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa lahat.
