Let me share a story of a fatherโs love, even beyond the grave.
When we talk about our father, tatay, papa, daddy, itay, madalas nating naiisip ang salitang โlakasโ or strength. Dahil ang mga tatay ang haligi ng ating bahay.
Ang lakas nila ang nagbubuklod sa pamilya kasama ang ating mga Nanay. A father is not just a provider, he is also a mentor sa tuwing hindi na natin alam ang gagawin sa buhay. He is also a friend kapag kaaway natin si nanay. Sya yung nanjan madalas tahimik lang pero handa kang ipaglaban. Sila yung kabiruan natin sa mga kalokohan. A father provides both security and peace to the family.
Subalit, paano kung mawala ang haligi ng ating bahay? Paano na tatayo ang ating bahay?

๐ช๐ก๐ฎ 2023, I met a loving wife and a mother who is interested in getting a life insurance. On the same month, her husband also got a life insurance policy with me. I was so happy that their policies were approved despite of their pre-existing condition.
Fast forward, last ๐ผ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ก 2024 (after 9 months), I visited them para mangamusta at bigyan sila ng pasalubong galing Switzerland. Tinuruan ko na rin sila gumawa ng online account at nireview namin ang policies nila.
A week after I visited them, I received a sad news. Her husband died due to an acute coronary syndrome. Sobrang bilis ng pangyayari. Hindi ko akalain na in just 9 months, I will be processing my ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐๐ข. This is not my first time processing a claim since I was able to processed a critical illness claim last 2021, and disability claim last 2023. But this is the first time that I actually lost a client. First thing I did was to pray to God to give me strength in processing this claim. I know it will be hard since it is within the 2yr contestability period and of course it is painful to the family. I immediately talk to the family.
Weeks after the grave, the family helped me complete the necessary requirements of the life insurance company. After 2months of waiting, submitting the subsequent requirements, lining up to government agencies, I prayed harder na sana lahat ng effort ko in processing this claim will not be wasted. And God is good that He listens.
Last ๐ฑ๐๐๐ 18, his first daughter received PHP496k as the first proceed of his death claim.
On ๐ฑ๐๐๐ 27, his second daughter received PHP992k as the second proceed of the claim.
And on ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐ 29, his grandson received PHP496k as the third proceeds of the claim.
Almost PHP2Million life insurance benefit was given to his family. They paid a total of PHP58,500 premium for the last 9 mos.
This life insurance claim is not just a money but a ๐จ๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ค๐ก ๐ค๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐งโ๐จ ๐ก๐ค๐ซ๐ to his family. It is a reminder that a father will always be remembered as the source of continuous strength and protection to the family kahit hindi na natin sila kasama physically. Habangbuhay silang mananatili sa ating mga puso.
Also, this is a reminder to honor and cherish our fathers everyday as if ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐จ ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐งโ๐จ ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ.
