Last week, I met a 46-year-old mom and small business owner who was referred to me by a friend, the cousin of her husband. Matagal na nilang planong kumuha ng life insurance, pero tulad ng maraming pamilya, lagi itong napo-postpone.
What made the meeting meaningful was her daughter. Matagal na niyang ine-encourage ang parents niya na kumuha ng protection habang healthy pa sila. Not because she expects something bad to happen, but because she truly loves them and wants them to be financially prepared.
When we talked, I understood that the client wanted protection, but she also needed something practical and affordable. So instead of offering a plan that would feel too heavy, we started with something manageable for her budget.
For around โฑ2,693.17 per month, she was able to start a plan that gives her life insurance coverage plus benefits for disability, critical illness, and accidents, subject to policy terms.
I also explained that if she continues paying consistently, the plan may build a non-guaranteed fund value over time. So aside from protection, there is also potential value that may grow and possibly help her in the future, including during her retirement at age 65, depending of course on fund performance.
So in a way, she is not just protecting her family today, she is also planting something for her future.
And for me, that was the best part of the story: not just the coverage, but the fact that after years of planning, she finally decided to begin.
Thatโs why I always say:
โStart small. Think big.โ
