✈️ 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Today, I’m grateful to have helped a student pilot get his first life and accident insurance. 🙏

2nd year na siya sa commercial flying, at ngayon, magsisimula na siya sa actual flying practice. Isa sa requirements ng school niya ay life insurance at accident insurance.

Ang parent niya ay client ko since 2021 kaya mas special ito para sa akin.

From helping the parent before, ngayon naman, anak na ang tinutulungan nating protektahan habang hinahabol ang pangarap niyang maging commercial pilot. ✈️

And today, August 11, approved na ang application! 🎉

Another life and health insurance application successfully submitted today - another step toward helping a client build a more secure financial future.

As a financial advisor, moments like this remind me why I do what I do. Behind every application is a person with dreams, responsibilities, and people they care about.

It's a privilege to walk alongside them, help them prepare for the uncertainties of life, and make sure their future is better protected.

𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗼. 💛

Recently, I had the opportunity to assist an OFW who is working in Dubai and planning ahead for her future.

We met face-to-face last July 10. After understanding her needs and priorities, we worked together to put in place life and health insurance protection that can help provide financial security for the road ahead.

Her application was approved last July 22 and sent her the details of her policy and instructions on the next steps. Then she sent me this message:

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴."

Honestly, messages like this mean a lot to me.

When we hear the word 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, we usually think of money, a house, a land, or other assets.

But what if the greatest inheritance isn't something we leave behind...

What if it's the values we pass on while we're still here?

As parents, grandparents, titos, titas, or mentors, we have the opportunity to leave a legacy that lasts for generations.

A legacy of...

✔️ Faith in God.
✔️ Integrity.
✔️ Generosity.
✔️ Wise financial habits.
✔️ Stewardship.

Because money can be spent.

Properties can be sold.

But the values we teach can continue to shape future generations.

Financial planning isn't only about accumulating wealth.

It's also about preparing our family to manage that wealth wisely.

Let's aim to leave more than money.

Let's leave wisdom, character, and faith that our children and grandchildren can carry for a lifetime.

A few days ago, I had the privilege of meeting two OFWs while they were home in the Philippines for their vacation - one from Dubai and another from Doha, Qatar. They were referred to me by another long-time client.

For more than a decade, they've worked far from their families, making sacrifices so their loved ones could have a better life.

Like many OFWs I've met, they've built careers abroad. But now, they're also thinking about the future.

We talked about two important financial goals that many people often overlook:
✅ Preparing for long-term healthcare
✅ Preparing for retirement

Ideally, we prepare for both. But since our resources are never unlimited, we also need to prioritize.

After exploring different options, they decided to secure their long-term healthcare first. Retirement can still be built over time, but a major illness can happen unexpectedly and may wipe out years of hard-earned savings.

Today, July 16, I submitted both of their applications and now undergoing review. I pray everything goes smoothly and will be approved before they fly back.

This experience reminded me that financial planning is not just about growing wealth. It's also about protecting the life you've worked so hard to build.

If you're an OFW, or you have a loved one working abroad, don't wait until retirement to think about your health. The best time to prepare is while you're still healthy and earning.

After all, the goal isn't just to come home someday...

It's to come home with peace of mind, good health, and financial security.

When we think about saving money, we often ask:

"Magkano ang kailangan ko para sa retirement?"

But Joseph had a different mindset.

He didn't save out of fear.
He saved with 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.

Because when the years of famine came, he was ready - not just for himself, but for countless others.

That's a powerful reminder for us today.

We don't build an emergency fund because we expect the worst.
We build it so we're prepared when life happens.

We don't invest only to become wealthy.
We invest so we can have more choices, help our family, and bless others.

Saving with purpose means preparing for moments that matter.

✔️ To protect your family during emergencies.
✔️ To support your children's future.
✔️ To care for aging parents.
✔️ To give generously when someone is in need.
✔️ To leave a legacy of faith and wisdom.

Money is a tool.

When managed wisely, it becomes a way to serve God and bless people.

Recently, I handled a death claim case that reminded me why honesty is one of the most important parts of any insurance application.

Kadalasan ang hindi pagbibigay o pag-declare ng tama at kumpletong impormasyon sa health, hobbies and lifestyle information ang nagiging sanhi ng pagkaantala, denial o disapproval of a claim.

Insurance is built on 𝘂𝘁𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵. Even when there is no medical exam, every answer on the application must be complete, truthful, and accurate. Questions in the application are not just paperwork, these questions help the insurance company in assessing the risk, whether the application can be approved, or not.

As a financial advisor, I do not like this kind of situation. Mas gusto kong makita ang bawat client at kanilang pamilya na natutulungan ng insurance lalo na sa panahon ng mga pagsubok. Otherwise, insurance defeats its purpose.

If you are applying for insurance (life insurance, health insurance), never hide or guess about your health, hobbies and lifestyle information. Being honest from the beginning protects you in case of living benefit claims and your family in case of death claims from unexpected complications and worst-case denial of claims.

The best insurance policy is not simply one that gets approved; it is one that will be there for you and your loved ones by the time you or they need it.

We live in a world that celebrates "quick wins."

📈 The next hot stock.
💰 The latest crypto hype.
🚀 The investment that's supposed to make you rich overnight.

Pero ang totoo?

Most lasting wealth isn't built through excitement. It's built through consistency.

That's why the habits that don't look exciting are often the ones that change our lives the most.

✔️ Saving every payday.
✔️ Investing regularly.
✔️ Living below your means.
✔️ Avoiding unnecessary debt.
✔️ Staying invested even when markets go up and down.

These habits may feel "boring," but they quietly build financial freedom over time.

The Bible reminds us that diligence - not haste - leads to lasting results.

In investing, as in life, faithfulness often beats excitement.

One wise decision, repeated over many years, can accomplish more than one lucky investment.
