Usually, may 31-day grace period after the due date. Meaning, may time ka pa to pay. Pero once lumagpas ka sa grace period at hindi pa rin nabayaran, pwedeng mag-lapse or ma-terminate ang coverage depending on the policy contract.
Question #2: If 15 years na akong nagbabayad ng Term Insurance, pwede pa rin ba mag-lapse?
Yes. Kasi ang Term Insurance is mostly “renting protection.” As long as you pay, covered ka.
For pure Term Insurance, usually hindi. Hindi siya savings plan. You paid for protection during those years.
Ang binayaran mo ay peace of mind and financial protection in case something happens.
Please don’t terminate your existing insurance policy just because someone online said “pangit ang VUL.”
Have it reviewed first. Apply and get approved for the replacement plan first before letting go of your existing coverage.
VUL is not for everyone. Term is not for everyone. Traditional plans are not for everyone.
That’s why proper financial assessment matters.
