He has around ten years corporate finance experience, with management roles in the industries of rail transportation, real estate, aviation, water & wastewater treatment services, and mining & construction. He also has around eight years of experience in the academe, teaching various accounting, taxation, economics and finance subjects. He was also connected with the government for around three ye
ars, handling the tax assessments of the business permits in Boracay Island. He is an Accredited CPA in Public Practice by the Board of Accountancy, and an Accredited Tax Practitioner by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. He is also a Certified Management Accountant in the USA, an ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant, a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst® certified by the Corporate Finance Institute in Vancouver, Canada, a Certified Compliance Officer® certified by the Center for Global Best Practices in the Philippines, and a Certified Financial Consultant® certified by the Institute of Financial Consultants in Vancouver, Canada. Baguipo is currently the Controller of Light Rail Manila Corporation, the private operator of Light Rail Transit 1, a joint venture company of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation’s Metro Pacific Light Rail Corporation (MPLRC), Ayala Corporation’s AC Infrastructure Holdings Corporation (AC Infra), Sumitomo Corporation, and the Philippine Investment Alliance for Infrastructure’s Macquarie Investments Holdings (Philippines) PTE Ltd. He is also a Part-time Lecturer at the National College of Business and Arts.
