📢 TAXPAYER REMINDER: UPDATE YOUR eBIRForms OFFLINE PACKAGE

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has advised taxpayers using the eBIRForms Offline Package to update to Version 7.9.6.1 to ensure proper functionality and access to the latest enhancements.

While Version 7.9.6.0 remains operational, older versions of the eBIRForms Offline Package will be discontinued and will no longer be supported.

✅ QUICK TIP: Before installing the latest version, make sure to properly back up your tax returns and related data. After installation, restore your backed-up data where applicable.

For a smooth transition, taxpayers are encouraged to follow the procedures outlined in the BIR User Manual and update at the earliest opportunity.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) advises all concerned taxpayers, Revenue officials, and employees currently using the eBIRForms Offline Package to download and install the latest version, eBIRForms Offline Package Version 7.9.6.0 or 7.9.6.1.

Older versions of the eBIRForms Offline Package will be discontinued and will no longer be supported.

Taxpayers are encouraged to update at the earliest opportunity and carefully follow the procedures in the accompanying User Manual, particularly those covering the backup and restoration of previously saved tax returns and related data.

⏰ TODAY, AUGUST 18, 2026, IS THE LAST DAY OF THE EXTENDED DEADLINE.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), through Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 95-2026, has further extended certain tax filing, payment, remittance, registration, and submission deadlines until August 18, 2026 for qualified taxpayers affected by Habagat and the technical unavailability of the eBIRForms Offline Package.

🔔 If you are covered by the extension, this is your final day to comply without the corresponding penalties.

The extension covers specified obligations originally due from August 10 to 16, 2026, including applicable withholding tax returns, income tax returns, ONETT transactions, and other requirements enumerated in the Circular.

⚠️ Important Reminder: Taxpayers mandated to use eFPS who are not covered by RMC No. 89-2026 are not included in the extension and must continue to file and pay through eFPS.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 89-2026, extending certain tax filing, payment, and submission deadlines for taxpayers within the jurisdictions of Revenue District Offices (RDOs) affected by the continued rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon.

The extension applies only to taxpayers within the jurisdictions of the affected RDOs. Taxpayers are encouraged to review the full context of RMC No. 89-2026 and verify whether their RDO is included among those affected.
