Pero isipin mo…

Sayang ba ang smoke detector na hindi kailanman tumunog?

Sayang ba ang seatbelt na hindi kailanman kinailangang sumalo sa aksidente?

Sayang ba ang spare tire na hindi nagamit?

Of course not.

Because their value isn’t measured by how often you use them.

Hindi nagpapaalam ang critical illness.

Hindi rin nagsesend ng calendar invite ang aksidente.

At lalong walang warning ang pagkawala ng breadwinner.

These are just a few of the many unexpected events in life that are beyond our control, no matter how careful or healthy we try to be.

But instead of feeling helpless about life’s uncertainties, it’s reassuring to know that there is something we can control.

We can choose to prepare.

One way to do that is through proper insurance planning.

Getting insured doesn’t prevent illness, accidents, or loss from happening. What it does is help you become financially prepared if they do.

Para dumating man ang mga ito o hindi, alam mong handa ka.

At kung dumating man ang hindi inaasahan, alam mong may masasandalan ka at hindi mo kailangang harapin ang lahat nang mag-isa.

Mahirap ang makaipon sa Pilipinas.

Kung gusto mong makapag retire ng maayos, mahabang panahon ang gugugulin at matinding pagtitipid ang gagawin.

At halos mahigit 90% ng mga Filipino ang di nakakapagretire ng may sapat na ipon. Marami ay aasa pa rin sa tulong at suporta tulad ng government and NGO sectors, ng mga pribadong sektor na tumutulong sa mga senior na nangangailangan, o kaya ay sa pag aaruga at suporta ng mga anak o ng pamilya.

Sa ilan naman na nakapag ipon kahit papano, ang hindi naman napaghahandaan at madalas na gumugulat sa marami ay ang emergency expense dulot ng critical illness or ng mga aksidente.

Yun sanang inipon at pinaghirapan para pangtustos sa ibang bagay tulad ng retirement o college fund ng mga anak, sa isang iglap, kayang kayang ubusin ng isa lamang na pagkaka-ospital.

Hindi na lang ngayon "good to have" ang health and accident insurance. Isa na itong "must-have". Nagdadagdag kasi ito ng extra layer of protection hindi lang para panggastos pang ospital, kundi mas lalo sa pinaghirapan mong ipon para sa yo at sa mga mahal mo sa buhay.
