Had a great time speaking at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)'s College of Computer and Information Science's Host Training Establishment Day!
One point I emphasised is that being job-ready isn't only about what they can build, code, or analyse. Companies don't just hire people because of their skills. They hire people who have something in common beyond technical ability.
These attributes include:
✅ Resiliency — the ability to bounce back from setbacks
✅ Integrity — doing the right thing even when no one's watching
✅ Lifelong learning — staying curious and adaptable in a fast-changing world
✅ Openness to inclusive opportunities — valuing diverse teams and perspectives
These are the qualities that shape not just great employees, but great professionals and leaders.
I also shared the career and business opportunities available at Pru Life UK especially for fresh graduates.
